About Us
The Clearing is a fully licensed micro healing center authorized to provide Colorado state-legal psilocybin-assisted therapy services to our community and visitors to our beautiful state.
Located in Boulder, Colorado, The Clearing operates as a state-licensed micro healing center through the Colorado Department of Revenue, offering comprehensive psilocybin-assisted therapy services under the highest level of clinical care available.
Our practice serves individuals presenting with clinical concerns including those with trauma histories, OCD, depression, anxiety, and other significant mental health challenges, while also supporting high performers—including athletes—in their pursuit of healing, enhanced mental wellness, and optimized performance.
Our approach aims to honor both the profound healing potential of psilocybin and the rigorous safety standards required for transformative therapeutic work.

-
We honor the sacred relationship between humans and healing plants by practicing responsible stewardship of these medicines and the environments that nurture them. We recognize our role as temporary caretakers, not owners, of these ancient healing traditions.
-
We acknowledge the indigenous origins of plant medicine traditions and commit to meaningful reciprocity with indigenous communities. We strive to honor, respect, and support the cultural heritage, wisdom keepers, and ongoing sovereignty of those who have preserved these healing practices for generations.
-
We recognize the profound responsibility inherent in guiding others through transformative experiences. We maintain the highest standards of therapeutic practice, ensuring all protocols prioritize client safety, informed consent, and evidence-based approaches while honoring traditional wisdom.
-
We believe healing should be accessible to all who seek it, regardless of economic status, background, or identity. We actively work to dismantle barriers to care and create pathways for historically excluded communities to access these healing modalities.
-
We recognize that true healing extends beyond symptom relief to encompass personal growth, connection to nature, and social harmony. We approach healing as a multidimensional process involving mind, body, spirit, and community.
-
We value our role as a healing resource within our local community and strive to build meaningful relationships with clients, healthcare providers, educators, and neighbors. We recognize that individual healing contributes to collective wellbeing.
-
We understand that human health is inseparable from environmental health. We commit to sustainable practices that minimize our ecological footprint and promote environmental regeneration.
-
We approach our work with humility and openness, recognizing that we are always students of these ancient traditions. We commit to ongoing education, professional development, and evolving our practices as new research emerges.
-
We operate with honesty, openness, and integrity in all aspects of our business. We hold ourselves accountable to our clients, our community, and the highest ethical standards of our profession.
-
We value the integration process as essential to lasting transformation. We support clients in weaving insights from their healing experiences into everyday life, recognizing that true healing happens in the days, weeks, and months following treatment.

Energy and Resource Conservation
LED Lighting Implementation

Ethical Leadership Structure
Anonymous Feedback System
Therapeutic Benefit: We want to provide our clients with as much agency as possible in their healing journey, and we would love their feedback to help us identify areas for service improvement.

Ethics Committee
Therapeutic Benefit: We aim to provide a structured process for navigating complex ethical situations that arise in psychedelic therapy for our facilitators.
Strategy: We plan on continual consultation groups, such as collaborating with a committee of other facilitators in our community and expert consultants, collectively becoming a space for open conversation designed to address ethical questions and concerns.
Community Integration
Community Mental Health Forums & Ally Networking Events
Therapeutic Benefit: We want to enable holistic support for all of our clients before, during, and after psychedelic therapy, and a part of that process is to include other healthcare providers from around our community who may or may not be associated with psychedelic assisted therapies. We really want to host community events that helps to reduce stigma around mental health treatment (generally) and psychedelic assisted therapies (specifically), making it easier for people to seek and receive help.
Strategy: We commit to continue developing relationships with complementary healthcare providers for comprehensive client care, and to host regular public events on mental health topics that normalize discussions about healing, wellness, and psychedelic assisted therapies.
Highest Standards for Safety and Security
HIPAA Compliance
Therapeutic Benefit: We also aim to establish essential trust and confidentiality that allows our clients to fully surrender to vulnerable healing processes, knowing their sensitive information about non-ordinary states of consciousness and personal trauma is protected with the highest standards.
Strategy: We actively maintain rigorous protection of client information through a triple-secured paper filing system (requiring three separate physical locks accessed only by authorized personnel), coupled with encrypted electronic medical records that meet or exceed federal standards, and comprehensive privacy policies provided to all clients.
