Continued Support

We welcome the opportunity to collaborate with your existing therapist or healthcare providers to support your continued integration, and our Atlas Psychology partners are always available for ongoing therapeutic care that honors your psychedelic healing journey.

What does Continued Support look like?

Whether consulting with your current mental health team or connecting you with our psychedelic-informed therapists at Atlas Psychology, we're committed to ensuring you have the continued support needed to sustain and deepen your healing transformation.

  • While your formal psilocybin-assisted therapy program concludes after integration sessions, your healing journey often benefits from ongoing therapeutic support.

The Clearing partners with Atlas Psychology, which houses a diverse team of counselors, social workers, therapists, and psychologists who understand psychedelic healing and can provide continued care.

These providers are experienced in supporting clients who have undergone psychedelic therapy and can help you maintain momentum, address emerging challenges, and continue building on the foundation established during your time at The Clearing.

  • Integration work specifically focuses on processing and incorporating insights from your psilocybin experience into daily life, often using specialized techniques for working with non-ordinary states of consciousness. It tends to be more structured around your journey experience and typically has a defined timeframe.

Regular ongoing therapy, while still psychedelic-informed, addresses broader life themes, relationship patterns, career transitions, family dynamics, and other concerns that may or may not directly relate to your psychedelic experience.

Think of integration as the bridge between your journey and everyday life, while continued therapy provides ongoing support for all aspects of your mental health and personal growth journey.

  • There's no universal timeline, as readiness for continued therapy varies greatly among individuals.

Some clients benefit from beginning ongoing therapy immediately after completing their integration sessions to maintain therapeutic momentum, while others prefer a period of independent integration—sometimes several weeks or months—to fully absorb their experience before diving into continued work.

Signs that you might be ready for ongoing therapy include: feeling you've integrated the primary insights from your journey, encountering new life challenges that could benefit from therapeutic support, or simply feeling called to deepen the work you've begun.

We encourage clients to trust their intuition about timing while knowing that support is available whenever they feel ready.

  • Psychedelic-friendly therapists understand the unique aspects of psychedelic healing, including the ongoing integration process, the non-linear nature of psychedelic insights, and the importance of honoring your experience rather than pathologizing it.

They're familiar with the language, concepts, and continued processing that may arise months or even years after your journey. Working with providers who lack this understanding can potentially undermine your progress or invalidate your experience, whereas psychedelic-informed therapists can help you continue building on your insights and maintain the positive changes you've cultivated.

  • Absolutely. With your written consent, we're happy to consult with your current mental health providers, primary care physicians, or other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.

This collaboration can include sharing relevant aspects of your treatment progress, discussing how your psychedelic experience may inform ongoing care, and providing psychoeducation about psychedelic therapy to your existing providers.

Many of our clients travel from out of state, and we understand the importance of maintaining strong therapeutic relationships with trusted providers in your home community.

  • While our in-person services are Colorado-based, we offer several options for continued support regardless of your location.

Atlas Psychology provides telehealth services where legally permissible, and we can help connect you with psychedelic-friendly providers in your area through our professional network.

Additionally, we offer consultation services to help your local providers better understand and support your continued integration process.

We also provide educational resources and can recommend reputable psychedelic-integration specialists nationwide.

  • Each Atlas Psychology provider brings unique specialties, therapeutic approaches, and areas of expertise.

During your transition from The Clearing, we'll discuss your ongoing goals, preferred therapy styles, and specific areas you'd like to address.

Whether you're interested in trauma work, relationship therapy, career transitions, spiritual exploration, or other focus areas, we can match you with a provider whose expertise aligns with your needs.

Initial consultation appointments help ensure a good therapeutic fit before committing to ongoing care.

  • We regularly offer educational presentations, workshops, and speaking engagements for both healthcare professionals and the general public interested in learning more about psilocybin-assisted therapy and psychedelic integration.

For example, Adam O’Neil, PhD tends to speak with groups and teams in performance environments about the potential of psilocybin assisted therapy for addressing mental health concerns associated with sport and performance, enhancing psychological performance leveraging psychedelics, and improving personal and relational wellbeing after integrating psychedelic therapy. This is very much an emerging niche specialty!

These events provide ongoing support for our alumni community while advancing psychedelic education and reducing stigma.
